Scoring (for Figure Skating): In figure skating, skaters are judged on their technical skills (e.g., jumps, spins) and artistic impression (e.g., choreography, presentation). Points are awarded based on the difficulty and execution of elements. The highest and lowest scores are typically discarded to calculate the final score.

Scoring (for Speed Skating): In speed skating, the skater who completes the race in the shortest amount of time wins. The race is measured based on time taken to finish the prescribed distance. In relay events, the time is calculated based on the team's combined effort.
